Questions
Before your first visit.
Something else on your mind? Call 01632 960239 or email hello@larkhavenphysio.co.uk.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book yourself in. Some insurers ask for a GP referral before they’ll pay, so check with yours first if you’re claiming.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem, but most people need a first assessment and three to six follow-ups. We’ll give you our honest estimate at the end of the first visit. There are no packages to buy.
What should I wear?
Something you can move in. Shorts for knee, hip and ankle problems, and a vest top or sports bra for backs, necks and shoulders. There’s a private room to change in.
Can I use my health insurance?
Yes, we’re registered with most major UK insurers. Get an authorisation code from them before your first visit and bring your policy number. You pay any excess on the day.
Do you see children?
We see young people from 12 upwards, with a parent or guardian in the room. For younger children we’ll point you to a children’s physio.
What if I need to cancel?
Give us 24 hours’ notice and there’s no charge. Later than that, we charge the full fee unless you’re unwell, because someone else could have had the slot.
